
Rachit is a postdoctoral scholar focusing on scalable, health-centered climate solutions for all. He is a physician and an environmental epidemiologist by training. He went to medical school in India and earned his PhD in Environmental and Occupational Health from Drexel University where he quantified the combined effects of multiple ambient air pollutants, temperature, and social stressors on pediatric seizures and epilepsy in New York City.
Rachit has a particular interest in collaborating with and mentoring early-career researchers, especially from low- and middle-income countries. He is an active member of the International Society for Environmental Epidemiology (ISEE), serving as the student and new researcher network (SNRN) liaison to ISEE’s membership subcommittee and leading a special interest group on socio-environmental research.
Outside of work, he spends his downtime biking, hiking, and playing soccer and squash.
